Looking for a decent close spot have a few but always looking for something new. Live in the orwigsburg area.

You have several options, and they are decent ones.
The Little Lehigh offers year round trout fishing in the special reg. area off of Rt. 29 and the Tulpohocken which is near Reading is also a good choice.
Up the road from you is the Little Schukill (mind my spelling)
which has a special reg. area off of rt. 895. I have caught many fish from these streams in the winter. Look for a nice day and you may hit a blue wing olive or midge hatch.
